Now is the time when many of us are planning summer vacations. Remember, your personal insurance will cover your personal liability while traveling in the U.S., (subject to policy terms).  Planning ahead can take some of the stress out of vacations, so here are a few quick tips for a successful family vacation.
Travel safety tips

• Stay off social media.  Criminals love to follow you, and then break in while you are gone.
• If you are traveling to foreign countries, remember to follow their laws and customs.
• Be aware of any travel and health alerts at your destination.
• Provide an itinerary of your travel plans to a family member.
• Advise a neighbor of your travel, and ask them to watch your home.
• Put lights on timers.
• Stop the paper and garbage service.
• Don’t take expensive jewelry on vacation.
• Make sure your children have a photo ID.
• Travel insurance can end up saving you a lot of money if something goes wrong and you need to come home early – especially if you have health issues.
